Hello, my dear readers!
This blog now has over 100 followers! It’s not a lot, but it’s more than I’ve ever hoped for, and it’s all because of you, the people who return every time I post something new. So, a big THANK YOU to you all! It brings me joy to know my posts help you out.
So, what have I been up to?
Following my own advice on writer’s block, I’ve decided to try out a writing prompt to see if it would jolt my creativity back to life, and, guess what? It did. That’s not to say I’m fully recovered, but I’m mending.
Lots of blog posts, as you already know. I’ve had an extremely prolific week last week, which I wasn’t expecting at all. After I posted I’m Braking, where I talked about my struggles with creativity and life in general, I didn’t expect to post anything else for a while. But as soon as I saw how many people tuned in to read to what I had to say, the blog fever started again. Knowing someone is still out there paying attention was reassuring.
Still working on this one, but again, heading in the right direction. I’ve picked up a YA vampire trilogy, throwback to 5 years ago, and I’m enjoying it so far. I’m keeping it light and fun for now, nothing that would stifle the precious desire to read again.
There is just a little over a month left until I start my third and final year at university. I have not decided on my dissertation yet, although I’ve had plenty of ideas. I’m not going to think about it for a few weeks. I started out the summer months thinking I would have a draft by now, but if there’s anything I’ve learned from this whole creativity ordeal, is that nothing ever goes as planned. I know I will eventually think of something and it will all turn out just fine, so, for now, I’m just trusting that thought and enjoying the rest of my summer.
Life & Travel
Speaking of summer, I’m looking forward to a lovely holiday in Greece with my family, especially after just watching the new Mamma Mia! film and being reminded of the beautiful islands, marine wildlife and of course, the amazing food. I’m also thrilled about moving into a new place in September and walking the coastal path again.
